Box Score River Falls, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse men's basketball team earned a 64-63 victory at UW-River Falls Wednesday night in the Karges Center. The Eagles improve to 13-8 overall and 7-5 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) while the Falcons fall to 7-14 overall and 2-10 in the conference. UW-L earned its fifth straight win over UW-River Falls with Wednesday's victory.
UW-River Falls took its only lead of the game on an opening layup from Zach Smith. UW-L later led 21-19 with 6:54 remaining in the first half when it went on a 13-5 run to end the half to lead 34-24. The Eagles'

Braden Tice each hit a pair of three-point field goals in the final 7:09 of the half.
The Falcons cut the Eagles' lead to 36-31 with 17:13 left in the game, but UW-L scored the next seven points to lead 43-31 with 14:10 remaining after a Tweed layup.
UW-L led 47-40 with 10:50 left when it scored six straight points to lead 53-40. UW-River Falls cut the deficit to 59-56 with 3:22 remaining, but UW-L's
Lucas Collom made a pair of free throws for a 61-56 advantage with 3:00 left.
Skylar Cameron's layup with 2:13 remaining made it 63-56 before the Falcons' Ollie White and Smith scored on a layups to make it 63-60 with :27 left.
Cameron made one-of-two free throws with :04 remaining for a 64-60 advantage before White finished the scoring with a three-point field at the final buzzer.
UW-L shot 40.4% from the field, including 35.3% (six-of-17) from three-point range, and 84.2% (16-of-19) at the free throw line.
Tweed led the Eagles with 22 points and four steals while
Calahan Skogman finished with 12 points and six rebounds. Cameron had a career-high 11 points and five rebounds. Tice finished with eight points and six rebounds.
Clint Rihn totaled five rebounds, four assists and four steals.
UW-River Falls shot 40.0% from the field, including 28.6% (six-of-21) from three-point range, and 68.4% (13-of-19) at the line.
White led the Falcons with 21 points while Sewer finished with 11 points and six assists.
UW-L returns to action Saturday, February 8 hosting UW-Platteville at 3 p.m.
