Box Score La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse volleyball team fell 3-2 (25-20, 23-25, 19-25, 25-19, 15-11) to UW-Superior Friday night in Mitchell Hall. The Eagles drop to 8-12 overall and 1-2 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) while the Yellowjackets improve to 8-17 overall and 1-2 in the conference.
Leah Putzier led UW-L with 20 kills Friday night while
Stephanie Henk recorded 15,
Sydney Bump 11 and
Jill Entinger 10.
Jaclyn Barrette finished with 50 assists as the Eagles hit .195 as a team.
Melanie Martin recorded 22 digs for UW-L with Barrette finishing with 14 and
Paige Schmidt 12. Entinger had five blocks assists while Barrette, Bump and
Abby Scharbarth each had three.
Stephanie Bandelin led UW-Superior with 23 kills while Leah Nightingale added 11 and Gabrielle Olson seven. Keely Deadrick recorded 44 assists as the Yellowjackets hit .213.
Jordan Olson and Chelsey Walerius each finished with 13 digs while Mackenzie Dahlin had 11. Olson finished with eight block assists while Deadrick recorded five.
UW-L returns to action Saturday, October 11 hosting 14th-ranked UW-Stevens Point at 1 p.m.
