UW-Stevens Point 141, UW-La Crosse 102
Stevens Point, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse men's swimming and diving team fell 141-102 at UW-Stevens Point Saturday afternoon in the UW-Stevens Point Aquatics Center. The Eagles'
Justin Bublitz swept the one-meter (311.25 points) and three-meter (316.55) competition.
In swimming,
David Flickinger and
Stephen Hanko earned individual titles for UW-L. Flickinger captured the 200 butterfly (2:03.17) while Hanko won the 200 backstroke (1:59.00). Hanko was second (2:02.71) and Flickinger fourth (2:03.01) in the 200 I.M.
Other top diving finishes included
Andrew Janny placing second in the one (288.15 points) and three-meter (289.20) competition while
Tanner Folvag was third in the one-meter (269.40) and fourth in the th
UW-L had three of the top-four finishers in the 200 freestyle with
Jackson Uselman second (1:48.69),
Garrett Runing third (1:50.58) and
Caleb Cole fourth (1:51.97). Uselman was also fourth (5:03.91) in the 500 freestyle.
The Eagles'
Nicholas Brehmer finished second (49.55) and
Brett Merley fourth (50.02) in the 100 freestyle while
Jesse Gambrell was second in the 200 breaststroke (2:17.66).
Nick Bietz finished third in the 200 backstroke (2:03.98) and
Charleton Skinner was third in the 200 butterfly (2:08.63).
Erich Schnell was fourth in the 50 freestyle (22.42) while
Hunter Burchfield finished fourth in the 1,000 freestyle (10:46.41).
UW-L finished second in the 400 medley and 400 freestyle relays. Hanko, Gambrell, Flickinger and Uselman were second (3:33.86) in the 400 medley relay while Schnell, Flickinger, Brehmer and Uselman placed second (3:14.80) in the 400 freestyle relay.
