UW-La Crosse 137, UW-Oshkosh 85
La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse men's swimming & diving team earned a 137-85 dual victory over UW-Oshkosh Saturday afternoon in Mitchell Hall.
The Eagles' swept both relays Saturday as
Stephen Hanko,
Ben Weinhaus,
Daniel Streater and
Jackson Uselman won the 200 medley relay (1:40.65) while
Nicholas Brehmer,
Caleb Cole,
David Flickinger and
Erich Schnell captured the 400 freestyle relay (3:20.02).
Individually, UW-L's Brehmer,
Charleton Skinner and
Justin Bublitz each won two titles. Brehmer took the 100 (50.27) and 500 (5:13.03) freestyle while Skinner captured the 200 I.M. (2:02.69) and 100 breaststroke (1:04.12).
Bublitz swept the diving competition, winning the one-meter (293.90 points) and three-meter (309.80).
Other individual winners included Schnell in the 50 freestyle (22.35);
Garrett Runing the 200 freestyle (1:49.76); Jake Kisiolek the 1,000 freestyle (10:52.35) and Hanko the 100 backstroke (55.21).
Other top finishers included
Andrew Janny placing second in the one-meter (283.95 points) and three-meter (297.20) diving while
Tanner Folvag was third in the one-meter (225.25) and three-meter (225.65).
Uselman finished second in the 50 freestyle (22.58);
David Flickinger second in the 100 butterfly (52.94) and Nicholas Kehler third in the 50 freestyle (22.88).
UW-L returns to action Friday, January 17 at the UW-Stevens Point Invitational.
