Box Score La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse volleyball team dropped its home opener Friday night with a 3-1 loss (23-25, 29-27, 25-20, 25-22) to Luther College (Iowa). The Eagles fall to 4-7 on the season while the Norse improve to 7-7. It was the second meeting between the two teams this season. UW-L earned a 3-0 win (25-12, 25-21, 25-17) August 30 at the Saint Mary's University (Minn.) Invitational.
Lauren Probst led UW-L with 15 kills while
Haley Molzner finished with 11. Molzner had two errors in 26 attempts for a .346 hitting percentage.
Jill Entinger recorded nine kills with
Kayla Ashland finishing with seven.
Cassie Raduka had 46 assists as the Eagles hit .225 overall.
Raduka and Probst each recorded a double-double was Raduka finished with a team-leading 11 digs and Probst finished with 10.
Courtney Geisler had eight digs.
Entinger had a team-high six total blocks.
Hannah Wilson led Luther with 13 kills, recording one error in 21 attempts for a .571 hitting percentage. Natalee Johnson had 12 kills. Lindsey Ryan finished with 46 assists as the Norse hit .226.
Katie Supplee had a match-high 24 digs while Brandi Knupp finished with 10.
Leah Broderick had five blocks.
UW-L returns to action Wednesday, September 25 at UW-Platteville at 7 p.m.
