UW-River Falls Falcon Invite Results
River Falls, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse men's cross country squad opened its 2013 season winning the UW-River Falls Falcon Invitational Saturday at Kilkarney Hills Golf Course. The Eagles finished with 33 team points while UW-Eau Claire was second with 35 and UW-Stout third with 86. A total of six teams competed.
UW-L had eight runners finish in the top-16, including
David Stilin who placed sixth overall with a time of 25:33.5 on the 8,000-meter course.
Garrett Kerska was seventh (25:34.6) for the Eagles while
Alex Ciesielski finished eighth (25:35.2) and
Josh Dedering 10th (25:36.9).
The Eagles'
Tom Linner finished 12th (25:38.5),
Andrew Rohlman 13th (25:43.9),
Nate Routhier 15th (25:50.1) and
Jacob Peterson 16th (25:54.9).
Alex Barbeln placed 22nd (26:15.6), Eric Laura-Banta 23rd (26:20.0), Matt Eidenschink 24th (26:20.5),
Tyler Heinz 25th (26:21.5),
Eric Smits 26th (26:22.8) and
Gerald Kerska 27th (26:25.1).
A total of 95 runners competed.
UW-L returns to action Friday, September 27 at the Saint Mary's University (Minn.) No-Limit Invitational.
