UW-Superior 3, UW-La Crosse 1

La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse volleyball team finished its season with a 3-1 (26-28, 26-24, 13-25, 21-25) loss to UW-Superior Saturday afternoon in Mitchell Hall.  The Eagles finish 13-18 overall and 2-6 in the WIAC while the Yellowjackets wrap up their season at 19-14 overall and 2-6 in the conference. 

Crystal Ziegler led UW-L with 22 kills Saturday, recording two errors in 52 attempts (.385). Katelynn Kempf finished with 12 kills while Leah Putzier, Amber Eide and Brianna Jacobson each had six. 

Chantel York recorded 40 assists as the Eagles hit .199 overall.

Katie Kaufman led four UW-L players in double figures in digs with 19. York finished with 16 while Ziegler had 13 and Melanie Martin 12. 

Jacobson had three blocks. 

Nikki Gosson led UW-Superior with 13 kills with Vikki Vinokur finishing with 10. Jessica Dvergsten and Kitty Tynen each had six. 

Keely Deadrick recorded 36 assists as the Yellowjackets hit .231 overall.

Farrah Wirtz had a team-high 22 digs while Tynen finished with 12 and Lauren Peterson 11. 

Gosson had four blocks.
