La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse volleyball team improved to 9-4 overall and 3-1 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) with a 3-0 (25-16, 25-18, 25-21) victory over UW-Superior Friday night in Mitchell Hall. The Yellowjackets fall to 5-13 overall and 0-4 in the conference.
Alexandra Bresser led UW-L with 13 kills Friday night, recording one error in 19 attempts for a .632 hitting percentage. The Eagles'
Katie Gunderson added 10 kills with two errors in 22 attempts (.364). UW-L hit .323 as a team.
Liz Schlobohm recorded 27 assists.

Melannie Tate had a match-high 12 digs with
Katie Kaufman finishing with 10.
Kayla Ashland totaled six kills and three blocks.
Wendy Bowman and Nikki Gosson led UW-Superior with seven kills while Sarah Gruber recorded 17 assists. The Yellowjackets hit .170 overall.
Sami Cross totaled eight digs for UW-Superior while Kitty Tynen had six. Rachel Langer and Bowman each had three blocks.
UW-L returns to action Saturday, October 2 hosting 16th-ranked UW-Eau Claire at noon in Mitchell Hall.
