Shira Busch is in her fifth season as an assistant coach at UW-La Crosse in 2025-26. She teaches first grade at Harry Spence Elementary School in La Crosse.
Earning her bachelor's degree from UWL in elementary education, Busch was a four-year member of the Eagles' tennis team. She finished 37-14 in career singles and 30-17 in doubles. Busch went 20-6 in singles in 2018-19, placing second at No. 6 singles at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championships. She earned All-WIAC Second Team honors.
She served as an assistant tennis coach at La Crosse Logan (Wis.) Middle School in 2020.
A graduate of La Crosse (Wis.) Central High School, Busch earned four letters in tennis. She was a two-time doubles champion in the Mississippi Valley Conference (MVC). Busch earned four All-MVC First Team honors. She was a member of National Honor Society.
