Adam Reel starts his sixth year as an athletic staff trainer at UW-La Crosse in 2024-25.
He served as an athletic trainer for the Chinese Olympic Committee in 2018-19, working with the fencing team. Reel treated injured athletes for the fencing team by combining individualized rehabilitation programs with traditional Chinese medical techniques.
Prior to working for the Chinese Olympic Committee, Reel was an athletic trainer for Mayo Clinic Health System in Onalaska. He was an athletic training fellow at UWL from 2015-18, serving as the primary athletic trainer for gymnastics.
Reel earned his bachelor's degree in athletic training from Xavier University (Ohio) in 2013 and his master's degree in Kinesiology from Bowling Green State University (Ohio) in 2015.
He served as a graduate teaching assistant within the undergraduate athletic training program at Bowling Green State (Ohio) from 2013-15. Reel was a camp administrator for Varsity Brands from 2014-18 working cheerleading and dance camps for junior high through college age males and females.
He is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA).
