Marcia Taddy is in her second season as an assistant coach for the UWL women's and men's cross country and track & field teams in 2019-20. A graduate of UW-Platteville, Taddy served as a volunteer cross country and track & field coach for the Pioneers from 2008-17. She was also the strength coach for the Pioneers' track & field and softball squads from August 2009-June 2010. Taddy was an intern with the University of Wisconsin-Madison Strength and Conditioning Program in spring 2009.
Named to the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) All-Time Track & Field Team, Taddy was an eight-time National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III All-America on the indoor circuit at UW-Platteville. She won national titles twice in the mile, once in the 800-meter run and as a member of the distance medley relay. Taddy finished second as a member of the distance medley relay in 2006 and third in the 800-meter run in 2005 and in 2006.
In outdoor track & field, she won the NCAA Division III title in the 800-meter run in 2005 and 2008 and in the 1,500-meter run in 2007 and 2008. Taddy placed sixth in the 1,500-meter run at the 2005 and 2006 national championships and sixth in the 800-meter run in 2007.
Taddy was named the NCAA Division III Track Athlete of the Year twice in her career.
She earned the WIAC Track Athlete of the Meet six times in her career while being named the WIAC Judy Kruckman Scholar-Athlete in 2006. Taddy was a three-time (2005, 2006, 2007) recipient of the UW-Platteville Athlete of the Year Award.
