Nicole Lukic

Nicole Lukic begins her sixth season as an assistant coach for the UW-La Crosse soccer program in 2018, working with all aspects of the Eagles' program.  She helped guide the Eagles to the 2017 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Quarterfinals.  UWL finished 20-2-3 overall in 2017 and earned an automatic bid to the NCAA III Championships after winning the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championship with a 4-3 shootout victory over UW-Whitewater.

UWL earned its third regular-season conference title in school history in 2017 with a 7-0 league mark, finishing undefeated in WIAC play for the first time in school history.  Winners of a school record 12 straight games in 2017, UWL's 20 overall victories was also a single-season school record.

Along with the school records for wins (20), winning streak (12) and shutouts (14) in 2017, UWL set single-season school records for goals (65), assists (63), points (193) and shots (506).

Lukic, along with head coach Jason Murphy and assistant coaches Joe Czerniak and Mike Jacobs, were named the 2017 WIAC Coaching Staff of the Year as well as the United Soccer Coaches North Region Staff of the Year.

The University and Wisconsin Rush West partnered to make Lukic the first full-time assistant soccer coach at UWL.  She is the Director of Coaching for Rush Wisconsin West and manages all coaches, programing, and player development.

Lukic earned one of 30 positions, including one of 15 women, in the 2015-16 National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) 30 Under 30 program.  The group of coaches come from every level of the game, from youth through professional ranks.  The program is designed to give the participants exposure to the NSCAA membership, and the opportunity to take advantage of educational offerings, such as courses, the NSCAA Convention, and the Summer Symposium.

A four-year soccer varsity letter winner at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Lukic was on four Horizon League Conference championship teams (2007, 2008, 2009, 2010). The Panthers also won three tournament titles (2008, 2009, 2010) and earned bids to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I Tournament.

Lukic earned her bachelor's degree in communication and political science from UW-Milwaukee in 2011 and her master's degree in athletic administration from Ohio University in 2014. She is now pursuing a teaching license in special education.

Lukic has coached for multiple successful club and high school soccer programs in the state.

She currently holds an USSF National B coaching license.
