Ali Berry is in her fifth season as an assistant coach with the UW-La Crosse gymnastics team in 2019-20, primarily coaching on the vault and floor exercise. She also serves as the Eagles' recruiting coordinator. Berry was as a graduate assistant coach with the Eagles from 2015-17, working as an strength and conditioning coach in intercollegiate athletics.
She has served as UWL's Director of Junior Eagles Gymnastics since 2011.
Berry was a collegiate gymnastics coach intern at Southern Utah University from May-August 2017 and worked as a gymnastics coach at Tri-Cities Family YMCA Grand Haven, Michigan from spring 2008 until summer 2014. She also completed a strength and conditioning internship at Southern Utah University. (2017) and the University of Denver, Colorado (2015).
Along with coaching at UWL, Berry has served as an instructor in exercise sport science.
A native of Spring Lake, Michigan, Berry was a four-year letter winner at UWL, earning three National Collegiate Gymnastics Association (NCGA) All-America honors. She tied for fourth on the floor exercise at the 2014 national championships while finishing fourth on the event in 2015. Berry also earned All-America awards after finishing tied for 12th on the vault in 2014. She was a member of the Eagles' national championship team in 2015.
Berry was named to the NCGA All-Academic Team in 2015 and a three-time member of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Scholastic Honor Roll.
She earned her bachelor's degree in exercise sport science-fitness from UWL in 2015 and her master's degree in human performance in 2017.
