Kenny Desrosiers starts his sixth season as an assistant coach at UW-La Crosse in 2025-26. He also serves as the athletics equity liaison for intercollegiate athletics.
UWL finished 25-6 overall and 12-2 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) in 2024-25, setting a single-season school record with its 25 overall victories. The 12 league wins were the most since finishing 2006-07. UWL advanced to the WIAC Tournament Championship game for the third time in school history. The Eagles earned an at-large bid to the 2025 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Championships, advancing to the Elite Eight for the first time in school history.
UWL finished sixth in the final 2024-25 D3hoops.com Top-25 Poll, its highest ranking in the final poll of the season.
UWL went 14-12 overall and 8-6 in the WIAC in 2023-24, earning a league tournament appearance. The Eagles finished 19-7 overall and 10-4 in the WIAC in 2022-23, playing the tournament semifinals for the fifth straight season. UWL finished 21-7 overall and 9-5 in the WIAC in 2021-22. The 21 wins tied the then single-season school record for victories. UWL made its third appearance in the NCAA Division III Championships, earning its first victory with a win over Heidelberg University (Ohio) in the first round. The Eagles advanced to the WIAC Tournament semifinals for the fourth straight season in 2021-22. UWL was 19th in the final 2021-22 D3hoops.com Top-25 Poll.
The Eagles went 8-3 overall and 5-1 in the WIAC West Division in 2020-21, earning the number one seed in the West Division for the league championship while advancing to the tournament title game for the second time in school history. UWL finished 13th in the final 2020-21 D3hoops.com Top-15 Poll, its highest ranking in school history.
Desrosiers earned his bachelor's degree in communication studies from UWL in 2021 with a minor in coaching concentration and general studies. He attended Western Technical College (Wis.) before attending UWL, playing basketball for two seasons for the Cavaliers.
He was a part of Wisconsin Playmakers from 2020-23, serving as head coach for the 16U and 17U UA Rise teams. The team played on the Under Armour Shoe Circuit. Desrosiers led his team to a top-seven national finish out of 48 Under Armour squads. He was able to assist five players from the 2024 class earn scholarships at the NCAA Division I and II levels.
Desrosiers has worked as a player development trainer since May 2020 with Built 2 Win Training in La Crosse. He was a skills training coach from March-August 2021 with the La Crosse Central High School Basketball Association.
Other experience includes serving as an assistant boys' basketball coach at West Salem (Wis.) High School from 2017-20 and a coach at the Viterbo University (Wis.) Wisconsin Basketball Yearbook Exposure Camp in 2018 and 2019.
