Noah Risch starts his third season as an assistant coach at UW-La Crosse in 2021. He also serves as an assistant sports performance center coach with intercollegiate athletics, responsible for programming, implementing, and supervising sport performance programs.
Risch works with UWL's linebackers while running the Eagles' scout team at practice. He also assists with recruiting over 200 high schools in Wisconsin and Minnesota.
Originally from Holmen, Wisconsin, Risch earned his bachelor's degree from UWL in 2018 while majoring in marketing. He was a three-time All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) selection at linebacker for the Eagles, earning all-conference first team honors in his senior season. Risch was named to the All-WIAC Second Team as a sophomore and honorable mention in his junior year. He was nominated for the 2017 Cliff Harris Award, presented to the best defensive player in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II and III or National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).
A four-time member of the WIAC Scholastic Honor Roll, Risch was elected as the WIAC's Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) President representative for the 2017 NCAA Committee.
Risch played two seasons professionally for the Stockholm (Sweden) Mean Machines. He was elected team captain in his first year and was a member of the 2019 Swedish National Championship team.
He served as UWL's Co-Head Student Facility Manager for athletics from 2016-18, assisting with the Wisconsin Interscholastic Athletic Association (WIAA) State Track & Field Championships, the NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships, Badgerland Nationals Wrestling Tournament and WIAC events.
