Jerred Ambrose is in his second season as a student assistant coach at UW-La Crosse, serving as the wide receivers coach. A native of La Crosse, he coached the previous five years working with the wide receivers at La Crosse Central High School.
UWL had a pair of wide receivers earn All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) honors in 2023 under Ambrose. Ryan Bartol and Jack Studer were both selected to the All-WIAC First Team. Studer also earned 2023 Associated Press (AP) All-America Second Team and D3football.com All-America Second Team honors. He was a D3football.com All-Region First Team choice.
Studer led UWL in catches (70), receiving yards (1,567) and touchdowns (15). He set a single-season school record for yards while his touchdown receptions ranks second in school history. Studer's 70 receptions ranks eighth in single-season school history. Bartol finished second on the team in receptions (35), yards (525) and touchdowns (11). His 11 touchdown catches are seventh in single-season school history.
Ambrose is a sport management major at UWL.
