Jake White is in his sixth year with UW-La Crosse in 2026, serving as the Eagles' defensive coordinator and coaching the linebackers. He served as the linebackers coach from 2022-25 after being the assistant positional coach in 2021-22.Â
A native of Stoughton, Wisconsin, White graduated from UWL in 2022 with a degree in sport management.
The Eagles' Ryan Daines and Tanner Newlin were voted to the 2024 All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Team with Daines earning first team honors and Newlin second team. Daines was also a D3football.com All-Region Second Team selection. Connor Fahnrich was named to the 2024Â All-WIAC Sportsmanship Team.Â
Daines led UWL with 69 tackles, including 41 unassisted, in 2024. He also had a team-high 11.0 tackles for loss, finished tied for second with 3.0 quarterback sacks and second with two interceptions. Newlin was second on the team with 56 tackles, tied for second with 3.0 quarterback sacks and fourth with 4.5 tackles for loss. Fahnrich finished with a pair of tackles.Â
Newlin was named to the 2023 All-WIAC First Team, leading UWL in tackles (63) and forced fumbles (3) while finishing tied for second in tackles for loss (7.0).
