University of Wisconsin La Crosse Athletics

Joe Mohr begins his 14th season as assistant baseball coach at UW-La Crosse in 2022-23.  He coaches the infielders, catchers, and assists with baseball operations and recruiting.

Mohr has helped guide the Eagles to five NCAA III Tournaments (2012, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017), two appearances in the NCAA III World Series (2015, 2016), and a pair of WIAC championships (2012, 2016).  The 2016 squad set a school record for wins (39).

Mohr earned his bachelor’s degree from Iowa Wesleyan College where he served as the Tigers’ two-year captain and shortstop.  Prior to Iowa Wesleyan, Mohr played two years at Frank Phillips Junior College in Texas. 

Mohr prepped at San Angelo Central (Texas) High School where he was an all-conference infielder.  He played 14 seasons with the Menomonie Eagles and helped lead the team to the 2012 Wisconsin Baseball Association (WBA) State Championship.  Mohr also played for the Exeland Braves, Eau Claire Cavaliers, and served as an instructor at the University of Michigan Baseball Camps.

He completed his master’s degree in sport administration from UWL.  Mohr and his family reside in the La Crosse area.
