Welcome! We at University of Wisconsin – La Crosse are excited to host you and your athletes. The UWL sports medicine team is available for visiting teams and is willing to provide you with any assistance required during your stay. If you do not plan to travel an ATC with your team for the event or competition, please let us know and we will be happy to assist your team in any way we can. We ask that you send a letter with any requested treatments and a stocked medical kit with any needed taping supplies. If you do not provide written documentation for requested treatments with the settings and parameters for application, we will not administer any treatment requests made by the athlete/coaches.
University of Wisconsin – La Crosse medical staff will assist in any emergency that may arise and will activate EMS if needed. If an athlete suffers an emergent injury, they will be transported by EMS to one of two local hospitals (addresses included below), both a short drive from campus facilities. In the case of nonemergency care, it will be the responsibility of your institutional representative to transport the athlete to one of these area hospitals for immediate care if needed, as we will only be able to assist in the process. Either hospital is around 5 minutes from campus.
