Welcome to the Drews/Neubauer Invitational at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse.
The Drews/Neubauer is an annual cross country meet in honor of Jim Drews and Tori Neubauer, former UWL All-Americas and National Champions.
Jim Drews won four Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) titles in cross country (1970-73). He also earned three National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) All-America accolades, placing sixth in 1971, ninth in 1972 and 13th in 1973. Drews was selected to the All-WIAC Team in 2011 and to the WIAC Hall of Fame in 2018.
Neubauer won two National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III cross country titles (1982, 1983) and placed sixth at the 1981 Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (AIAW) Championships. She also won a pair of WIAC titles in cross country (1982, 1983). Neubauer placed fifth at the league championships in 1981. She was selected to the All-WIAC Team in 2011 and named to the WIAC Hall of Fame in 2015.

WOMEN'S COLLEGIATE RACE: 11 a.m. - Tori Neubauer Invitational - 6,000-Meters (All athletes must report to the starting line 10 minutes prior to the start.)
MEN'S COLLEGIATE RACE: 11:40 a.m. - Jim Drews Invitational - 8,000-Meters (All athletes must report to the starting line 10 minutes prior to the start.)

ENTRY FEE: $150.00 per team/per gender ($300.00 total for a school with both genders) payable to UW-La Crosse Athletics.
LATE ENTRIES WILL REQUIRE A FEE OF $225.00 PER TEAM.

ENTRIES OPEN: 12 p.m. (Central) Monday, October 1
ENTRIES CLOSED: 3 p.m. (Central) Tuesday, October 9
OPEN/UNATTACHED ATHLETES: No registration necessary. Unattached runners simply report directly to the start line. Open/unattached athletes will NOT receive a chip and will NOT appear in the official results. Open/unattached athletes are NOT eligible for individual awards. There will be one starting box for all open/unattached athletes.
RESULTS: Paper results will be available following the races at the timing area. One copy per gender can be picked up. Results will also be posted online at
www.uwlathletics.com and
www.directathletics.com.
AWARDS: The first 30 finishers in the Drews (men’s) and Neubauer (women’s) races will receive a pair of sunglasses that will be distributed in the basement of the clubhouse for head coaches to pick up. There will not be an awards ceremony.
TIMING: Chip technology will be utilized as the primary timing and scoring system for this meet.
CHIP INFO: Chips will be distributed at check-in at Ettrick Golf Club starting at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, October 13.
Chips are disposable and will not need to be returned.
PACKET PICK-UP: Pick-up will occur in the basement of the Ettrick club house beginning at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, October 13.
WARM-UPS: The course will be open to warm-up after the frost is off of the grass on race day, approx. 8:30 a.m. Please instruct your athletes to
STAY OFF THE GREENS & TEES.
COURSE INSPECTION: Inspection will be allowed Friday, October 12 from 4 to 6 p.m. Please check-in at the club house prior to inspection.
TOILET FACILITIES: Portable units will be available near the starting line, by bus parking, and team camp areas. Please instruct your athletes NOT to use the facilities in the clubhouse.
BUS PARKING: Bus parking will be available at the course in a designated bus parking area. Click

BUSES WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO DROP ATHLETES OFF AT THE MEET SITE. All buses will be immediately directed to the bus parking lot, there is no space to turn buses around by the club house.

SHOWERS/LOCKER ROOMS: Shower and locker room facilities are
NOT available at the course. Participants can shower at Mitchell Hall, UW-La Crosse campus, following the race. Mitchell Hall is approx. 35 minutes south of Ettrick.
