River Falls, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse golf team finished in second place at the Falcon Invite hosted by UW-River Falls.
THE BASICS
Results: UWL finished in second place (318, 315 - 633) behind UW-Stout who finished with a team score of 614 (311, 303). Rounding out the top five was UW-Stevens Point (655) in third, UW-River Falls (669) in fourth and Marian University (Wis.) (676) in fifth.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- As a team, UWL finished in second place out of the nine schools, 12-team tournament. UWL's B team shot a 721 to finish in 11th place.
- Haley Thoeny led the Eagles with a 155 (75, 80) to finish T-3rd. UW-Stout's Julia Imai earned medalist honors with a 146.
- Just two strokes back of Thoeny in fifth place was teammate Allie McBryde cut three strokes off her round one score to finish with a 157 (80, 77).
- Next for the Eagles was Sylvia Seiffert (87, 76) and Nora Gogin (77, 86) who tied for 15th with a 163.
- Finally for the Eagles was Madeline Trannel who T-25th with a 168 (86, 82).
- Also playing for UWL was Regan Hermanson (92, 85 - 177 T-42nd), Lucy Nielsen (94, 86 - 180 47th) Taylor Schmidt (90, 91 - 181, T-48th), Brynn Spanier (94, 90 - 184 T-48th) and Rickie Tillotson (93, 93 - 186 T-56th).
