WIAC Championship Results
Reedsburg, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse golf team sits in fourth place after round one of the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships (presented by Culvers) Friday afternoon at Reedsburg Country Club.

THE BASICS
Results: 4th/8 teams (333) after round one. UW-Whitewater leads the Championships after shooting a 308 as a team while UW-Stout is in second place with a 310. In third place is UW-Eau Claire (314) followed by UW-La Crosse (320) in fourth, UW-Stevens Point (333)in fifth, UW-River Falls (345) in sixth. UW-Oshkosh is in seventh (347) and UW-Platteville in eighth 357.

Tournament Format: 54 holes (3 rounds)
What is at stake: The winning team will receive an automatic bid into the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division III Championship that will be held May 11-14, 2027, at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Va.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- UW-Whitewater's Delainey Halverson is the clubhouse leader after round one as she shot a 2-over 74.
- Haley Thoeny sits one shot back of the lead after shooting a 75 on Friday afternoon and is tied for second place Julia Imai (UW-Stout) and Megan Bermejo (UW-River Falls).
- Teammates Madeline Trannel and Nora Gogin are tied for 17th place after shooting an 81 while Sylvia Seiffert is two strokes back in 24th (83)
- Next for the Eagles is Allie Bryde who shot an 88 on Friday and is tied for 43rd.
- Also playing as individuals for the Eagles is Lucy Nielsen (82, T-21st), Rickie Tillotson (82, T-21st), Brynn Spanier (91, T-59th), Taylor Schmidt (94, T-70th) and Regan Hermanson (97, 72nd).

- Round two of the WIAC Championships will start at 9 a.m. on Saturday morning. The Third and final round of the championships is scheduled to tee off at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday morning.
