Whitewater, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's tennis team competed at the UW-Whitewater Warhawk Invitational Saturday. No team scores were recorded.

Lauren Lindow captured the No. 2 doubles flight on Saturday with a 3-0 record. The duo opened with an 8-4 win over Brooke Boland/Beatriz Felchak of UW-Eau Claire before a 8-1 vitory over Rya Arreazola/Greta Peterson of Carthage College (Wis.) in the semifinals. Samuelson/Lindow won the flight with an 8-3 win over Margot Groundwater/Eliana Martin of Grinnell College (Iowa).

Shelby Roth placed second at the No. 1 doubles flight, going 2-1. They earned a 8-0 victory over Kassidy Anderson/Analia Pazmino Cedeno of Augustana College (Ill.) in the first round and 8-3 over Ava Andrae/Alexandra Repplier of UW-Whitewater in the semifinals. Cady/Roth fell 8-6 to Logan Tom/Marta Gonzalez of Grinnell (Iowa) for the championship.
At No. 3 doubles, UWL's

Emma Herzog finished third with a 2-1 record. The duo started with an 8-7 (7-5) victory over Cate Bright/Olivia Huinker of Luther College (Iowa) before losing 8-6 to Kayla Surpless/Adelle Persian of Grinnell (Iowa) in the second round. Klicker/Herzog placed third with a 8-1 victory over Julia Nill/Isheeta Midha of UW-Whitewater.

During Saturday's singles tournament, the Eagles'
Caitlyn Stadter placed second at No. 2. She won 6-0, 6-0 over Sophie Gish of UW-Whitewater and 2-6, 6-3, 10-8 over Allie Christensen of Luther (Iowa) to advance to the championship match. Stadter lost 6-1, 6-3 to Laurel Buttrick of Grinnell (Iowa) for the title.
Morgan Perkins won the consolation bracket at No. 3 singles on Saturday. She lost 2-6, 6-2, 8-10 to Luiza Kohn of Grinnell (Iowa) in the first round, but came back with two straight victories. Perkins won 6-1, 6-4 over Mia Tarmichael of Carthage (Wis.) in the consolation semifinals and won 6-4, 6-3 over Jarlyn Felix of Luther (Iowa) to win the consolation title.
UWL's
Lily Jorgenson placed third at No. 1 singles with a 2-1 record. She earned a 6-2, 6-2 win over Maripaz Ramirez of Augustana (Ill.) before losing 6-3, 6-1 to Pari Chavan of Grinnell (Iowa) in the semifinals. Jorgenson took third with a 6-1, 6-2 victory over Lena Lichau of Luther (Iowa).
UWL returns to action Saturday, September 12 at Bethel University (Minn.) at 12 p.m.
