St. Paul, Minn. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's tennis team concluded its 2026 fall schedule with a ?-? victory over Hamline University (Minn.) Saturday afternoon at the Holt Courts at Jeff Green & Family Tennis Center.
The Eagles improve to 9-0 while the Pipers drop to 2-2.
WIAC TITLE
* UWL clinched the WIAC regular season title outright with a 6-1 win at UW-Whitewater on October 17.
* It is the Eagles' 17th regular season conference championship in school history, including second straight.
* UWL finished undefeated in conference duals for fourth time (2005, 2006, 2025, 2026) in school history.
* Head coach
Bill Hehli has now led UWL to five (2003, 2005, 2006, 2025, 20226) WIAC regular season titles.
* The conference champion is determined by regular season standings. The WIAC Tournament will be held in April-May 2027 with the winner earning the league's automatic bid to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Championships.
WINNING STREAK
* UWL has now started 9-0 in each of the last two seasons. The Eagles won their first 11 matches in 2004-05 and first 10 in 2005-06.
DOUBLES PLAY
* UWL swept the three doubles matches.

* Roth defeated Pham at No. 1 (6-4, 6-1).

* Stadter defeated Dreger at No. 3 (6-0, 6-2).
* Cady beat Draper at No. 4 (6-3, 6-2).
* Perkins defeated Copeland at No. 5 (6-4, 7-6).
* Klicker beat Tschida at No. 6 (6-1, 7-6).
UP NEXT
* UWL returns to action Sunday, March 7 with two matches in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, facing Coe College (Iowa) and Grinnell College (Iowa).
