La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse soccer team improved to 10-0 with a 5-0 victory over Edgewood University (Wis.) Wednesday night at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex as part of Pride Week/Playing For A Cause.
The Eagles of Edgewood (Wis.) drop to 2-6-2.
The 10-0 start for UWL is the best in school history and matches the best start in Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) history. UW-Eau Claire started 10-0 in 2006 and UW-Stevens Point in 2010.

Riley Veenendaal scored a pair of goals in the second 45:00 for UWL. Her goal at 66:34 on assists from
Grace Williams and
Chloe Ackerman made it 4-0.
* Veenendaal added her second goal at 68:43 off a
Gianna Zamborini assist.

* UWL finished with 25 shots, including 13 on goal. The Eagles had eight corner kicks.
* Veenendaal scored twice with a team-high five shots.
