Hastings, Minn. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse golf team finished tenth at the DIII Classic hosted by Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) on Sunday.
THE BASICS
Results: After shooting a 317 in round one, UWL shot a 324 for a two day total of 641 to finished tenth at the DIII classic. The College of Saint Benedict (Minn.)won the team title with a 611 while Macalester College (Minn.) was second (614). Rounding out the top five was Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) in third place (618), St. Olaf College (Minn.) in fourth (619) and Bethel University (Minn.) fifth (621).

HOW IT HAPPENED
- For the second tournament in a row, the Eagles were led by Haley Thoeny who finished tied for 19th after shooting a 155 (76, 79).
- Next for the Eagles was Nora Gogin who shot an 82 on Sunday for a tournament total of 158 to finished tied for 26th.
- Cutting three strokes of her first round score was Allie McBryde as she shot an 80 to finish with a two day total of 163 (T-44th).
- Sylvia Seiffert (82, 88) finished tied for 73rd with a 170 while Madeline Trannel (91,83)) tied for for 94th with a 174.
- Eagles playing as individuals were Lucy Nielsen (90, 80 - 170) and Regan Hermanson (92, 80 - 172).

- The Eagles will be back in action on Sunday, September 27 and Monday, September 28 when they play in the UW-Whitewater Invitational at Wisconsin TPC in Madison, Wis.
