Hastings, Minn. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse golf team is in seventh place after day one of the D3 Classic hosted by Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) on Saturday.
 
THE BASICS
Results: UWL is in seventh place (317) as College of St. Benedict (Minn.) leads the way with a team score of 303. In second place is Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) (307) while Macalester College (Minn.) is in third place (310) Carleton College (Minn.) in fourth (312) and St. Olaf College (Minn.) (313).

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Haley Thoeny and Nora Gogin led the way for the Eagles as they both shot a 76 to be tied in eighth place.
• Next for the Eagles was Sylvia Seiffert is tied for 43rd with an 82 while Allie McBryde finished one stroke back with an 83.
• Madeline Trannel shot a 91 to tie for 104th. 
• Eagles playing as individuals Lucy Nielsen who shot a 90 (T-97th) and Regan Hermanson who finished with a 92 (T-107).
