2026-27 Schedule
La Crosse, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse has announced its 2026-27 women's tennis schedule. The Eagles opens their season with a Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) dual at UW-Oshkosh on Friday, September 4.
The schedule features five home duals, including the home opener versus Carroll University (Wis.) on Sunday, September 20 at Green Island Tennis Park.
UWL went 21-3 overall last year, tying its single-season school record for victories. The Eagles matched the school record from 2010-11 and 2011-12 when it went 21-5. Finishing 6-0 in the WIAC in 2025-26, the Eagles claimed their 16th league title in school history and first since 2006.
UWL earned an automatic bid to the 2026 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Championships with a 4-3 victory over UW-Whitewater in the WIAC Tournament Championship. The Eagles, 28th in the final Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) NCAA Division III rankings, earned a 4-0 victory over UW-Superior in the first round of the 2026 national tournament before losing 4-0 at 19th-ranked Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) in the second round.
The Eagles will compete in three invitationals in 2026-27, including the UW-Whitewater Warhawk Invitational on Saturday, September 5. UWL travels to the ITA Midwest Regional on Friday-Monday, September 25-28 and to the Midwest Invitational on Friday-Saturday, April 9-10 in Madison, Wisconsin.
UWL earned its 16th WIAC Championship in school history last season.
The WIAC Tournament starts on Tuesday, April 27 with the quarterfinals.

New Berlin (Eisenhower) have earned all-conference recognition.
Cady earned 2023 All-WIAC Second Team honors in singles and doubles and first team awards in singles and second team in doubles in 2024. Selected the 2023 WIAC Newcomer of the Year, Lindow earned 2023 All-WIAC Second Team accolades in doubles and was a 2024 second team honoree in singles and doubles.
Voted to the 2026 All-WIAC First Team in singles and doubles, Roth also earned all-league second team recognition in doubles in 2023 and 2024. She earned 2024 all-conference first team honors in singles. Samuelson was named to the 2024 All-WIAC Second Team in singles and doubles.
Bill Hehli starts his 32nd season as UWL's head coach in 2026-27. He was named the 2025-26 ITA/Dunlop NCAA Division III Women's Coach of the Year as well as the Central Region Coach of the Year. Named the WIAC Coach of the Year for the seventh time in his career (2000, 2005, 2012, 2017, 2020, 2024, 2025) this season, Hehli is 477-148 (.763) as UWL's women's head coach. The all-time leader in wins in WIAC history, he has led UWL to four (2003, 2005, 2006, 2025) conference titles.
Inducted into the UWL Wall of Fame in 2017, Hehli is 388-237 (.621) as the Eagles' men's head coach. He has compiled an overall record of 865-385 (.691).
