Kalamazoo, Mich. - Four members of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's swimming & diving team completed first day action at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Central Diving Championships Friday night in the Kalamazoo College (Mich.) Natatorium.
In the one-meter competition, the Eagles'
Hannah Martini placed 10th (380.15 points) while
Abbey Thornton was 16th (369.35).
UWL's
Emma Lieb placed 25th (348.25) and
Madison DeBernardo was 29th (323.60).
A total of 32 divers competed in the one-meter.

Martini and DeBernardo are appearing in their second NCAA Division III Diving Regional. At the 2025 regional in Granville, Ohio, Martini placed 11th (393.00 points) in the one-meter competition and 15th (381.35) in the three-meter while DeBernardo finished 30th in the one-meter (321.85) and 23rd (344.00) in the three-meter.
Lieb and Thornton are making their first trip to the diving regional.
The top-eight finishers advance to the NCAA Division III Championships scheduled for Wednesday, March 18 through Saturday, March 21 at the Indiana University Indianapolis IU Natatorium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Action continues Saturday, February 28 with the three-meter competition at 2 p.m. (Central).
