La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse soccer team extended its season opening win streak to 12 with a 7-0 victory over UW-River Falls Wednesday night at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex on Camper Night.
UWL's 12-0 start is the best in Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) history. The Eagles improved to 2-0 in the conference with Wednesday's win.
UW-River Falls drops to 6-2-2 overall and 0-1-1 in the WIAC.
Macy Evans tallied a pair of goals Wednesday.
RANKINGS
* UWL is ranked 14th on the Intercollegiate Women's Soccer Organization for Coaches (IWSOC) Poll in partnership with the United Soccer Coaches.
SERIES RECORD
* UWL leads the all-time series, 21-14-3, with UW-River Falls. The Eagles have won the last 12 meetings with the Falcons, recording six straight shutouts. UW-River Falls last earned a win (2-1 in overtime) in the series during the 2014 season.
WIAC PLAY
* UWL extends its WIAC unbeaten streak to 30 (28-0-2) with Wednesday's win. The Eagles tied UW-Platteville on October 9, 2024 ( 2-2) and October 22, 2025 (1-1). UWL's last conference loss came to UW-Oshkosh on October 23, 2021 (2-1).
HOME SUCCESS
* The Eagles improve to 98-16-12 at home under head coach
Jason Murphy, including 55-2-5 in the last six seasons.
* UWL's last home loss (3-1) came to then fourth-ranked Christopher Newport University (Va.) on September 27, 2024.

Katelyn Studebaker extended the lead to 2-0 at 1:59 off a
Kate Heiderscheit assist.
Amaya Thesing gave UWL a 3-0 lead at 4:49.

Aubree Caya scored at 12:45 on assists from Thesing and Speltz for a 4-0 edge before
Macy Evans made it 5-0 at 18:02 at halftime. Thesing recorded her second assist of the game with
Jillian Sawadski also notching one on Evans' goal.

Morgan Fitt's assist for a 6-0 lead and Evans scored her second goal of the game at 83:17 on
Audrey Wanless' assist.
Kate Heiderscheit had two shots and one assist.
UWL LEADERS
* UWL finished with 34 shots, including 21 on goal. The Eagles had all 10 corner kicks in the game.
* Ten players recorded a point with Evans scoring twice while Thesing had one goal and two assists.
* Williams led the Eagles with nine shots, including three on goal. Evans also had three shots on goal with four overall shots. Fitt and
Riley Veenendaal each had three shots in the game.
