Eau Claire, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse golf team finished second as a team at the Blugold Georgianni Invitational hosted by UW-Eau Claire on Sunday.

THE BASICS
Results: UWL finished second overall with a two day total of 665 (332, 333) as UW-Eau Claire won the team title with a team score of 625 (312, 313). Rounding out the top five was UW- La Crosse (B) in third place (351, 353 - 704)), UW-Superior (355, 351 - 706) fourth and UW-Eau Claire (B) (364, 366- 730) fifth.Â
LOCATION:Â Lake Wissota Golf Course, Chippewa Falls, Wis. (Par 72, 5,733 yards) on Saturday. Eau Claire Country Club, Eau Claire, Wis. (71 -5,703).
HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
- Haley Thoeny led the Eagles as she finished with a tournament total of 160. After shooting a 78 on Saturday, Thoeny shot an 82 on Sunday.Â
- Also finishing in the top-10 for the Eagles was Allie McBryde in eighth place (82, 86 - 168) and Nora Gogin in 10th place (87, 85 - 172)
- After shooting a 93 on Saturday, Madeline Trannel cut 13 strokes on Sunday (80) to finish tied for 11th with teammate Sylvia Seiffert (85, 88 - 173).Â
- Playing on the Eagles B Team was Lucy Nielsen (86, 84 - 170) who finished ninth, Regan Hermanson (85, 90 - 175)14th, Taylor Schmidt (90, 90 - 180), Rickie Tillotson (90, 91 - 181) 18th and Brynn Spanier (98, 89 - 187) 24th.Â
- Lilly Kaminski of UW-Eau Claire shot a 153 to earn medalist honors.Â
