Whitewater, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's tennis team fell, 4-3, to UW-Eau Claire Saturday afternoon in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Team Tournament Semifinals at the UW-Whitewater Outdoor Tennis Complex.
The Eagles finish the season at 16-4 overall while the Blugolds improved to 13-9. UW-Eau Claire dropped the tournament championship match, 4-1, to host UW-Whitewater. With the win, UW-Whitewater earns the league's automatic bid to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Championships.

Both teams won three singles matches. The Eagles picked up victories from
Tasha Bailey (No. 1),
Shelby Roth (No. 2) and Cady (No. 6).
UWL recorded its fourth straight season with at least 15 wins with its 16 victories this year.
