Eagles Win 21st National Indoor Championship; Blaskowski and Schoemann Win Individual Titles; 14 NCAA All-Americans

Rochester, NY - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse men's track and field team captured its 21st National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Indoor Championship Saturday at Golisano Training Center. 

2025 NCAA III INDOOR TRACK AND FIELD CHAMPIONSHIP BASICS
  • Team Results - UW-La Crosse won three individual titles on Saturday to help the Eagles compile 84 points. The 84 points breaks the NCAA III record for points at the National Championships and breaks the previous record of 78 points which was set in the 2006 by the Eagles. UW-Oshkosh finished second with 39 points while Rowan University (NJ) was third with 32 points, Lynchburg University (Va.) fourth (29 points) and SUNY Cortland University (NY) fifth (26 points). 
  • Location - Golisano Training Center, Rochester NY (hosted by Nazareth University (NY))
  • UWL at NCAA III Championships - UWL has won an NCAA Division III record 21 indoor titles, including the 2023 and 2024 Championship for a three-peat.The Eagles have now won 14 of the last 21 National Championships. UWL earned 14 individual NCAA III All-America honors along with the 4x400 relay team and Distance Medley Relay team at the 2025 Championships and now have 426 indoor NCAA III All-America honors, the most in the nation. Head coach Josh Buchholtz has now led UWL to 11 NCAA Division III titles, including seven indoor (2009, 2013, 2014, 2017, 2023, 2024, 2025) and four outdoor (2013, 2015, 2016, 2017).

  • Triple Jump - Carter Pearson earned his second All-American honor of the Indoor Championships as he finished fourth with a mark of 49-6 1/2. Also competing in the triple jump for the Eagles was William Cady who finished 10th with a jump of 47-8 1/2 and Gabe Olsen who was 16th (46-11 1/2). 
  • Shot Put - Ben Youngworth finishes19th in the shot put with a throw of 49-10 1/2. This was Youngworth's second appearance at the NCAA III Indoor Championships.  
  • High Jump - Nathan Andringa earns his second straight NCAA All-America honor as he finished fourth with a jump of 6-9 3/4. Andringa finished seventh at last year's Championships for his first All-American honor.

    Track Events
  • 60-meter dash - Sam Blaskowski won his third consecutive national title in the 60-meter dash as he wins the 2025 title with a time of 6.62. Blaskowski becomes the first Eagle to win back-to-back-to-back national titles in the 60-meter dash as he won the title in 2023 with a time of 6.71 and in 2024 with a time of 6.68.
  • 200-meter - Blaskowski returned to the track for the 200-meter run and won his second national title of the day as he finished in a time of 21.26. It is is his second straight title in the 200-meter run as he won a title last season. It is Blaskowski's third All-America honor in the 200-meter after earning the honor in 2023 and 2024. 
  • 400-meter - With his third place finish in the 400-meter run, Collin Conzemius earned his first NCAA All-American honor. Conzemius finished with a time of 47.60.

  • 800-meter - Cael Schoemann defends his 2024 800-meter National Indoor Championship by winning the 2025 Title with a time of 1:50.08. 
  • 3000-meter - UWL had four runners in the 3000-meter run with three of them finishing in the top eight. Grant Matthai, Aidan Matthai and Adam Loenser each picked up their second NCAA All-America honor as Grant finished fourth (8:12.56), Aidan seventh (8:15.26) and Loenser eighth (8:16.09). Charles Vater also competed in the 3000-meter run and finished with a time of 8:22.30 to place 14th. 
  • 4x400-meter Relay - The 4x400 relay team of Jacob Hohmann, Andrew Hackbarth, Devin Williams and Chase Doornink finished third with a time of 3:12.89 to earn NCAA All-America honors.
