Friday's Results
Rochester, Minn. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's swimming & diving team remains in third-place after the second day of action at the Rochester Invitational Friday night at the Rochester-Olmstead County Recreation Center Natatorium.
The Eagles are in third-place with 829.0 points. St. Cloud State University (Minn.) leads the nine-team invitational with 1,245.0 points.
UWL's 200 freestyle relay of
Ellie Brown,
Hannah Wadholm,
Greta Wiskus and
Libby Cleveland captured first place (1:35.1) on Friday.
The Eagles' 400 medley relay of Mikayla Knaffla,
Zoey Rank,
Shefali Ramakrishnan and Cleveland finished seventh (3:58.01).
In Friday's one-meter diving competition, UWL's
Joanne Banaszak placed second (406.20 points) and
Emma Lieb sixth (372.55).
Ava Pulvermacher finished sixth (4:43.59),
Abby Gierke 11th (4:50.60) and
Makenzie Wallace 16th (4:55.74) in the 400 I.M.
Rank was ninth (1:06.66),
Makenzie Wallace 12th (1:08.30) and
Emily Hauke 14th (1:08.69) in the 100 breaststroke while Knaffla was 11th (59.91), Ramakrishnan 15th (1:01.56) and
Sofia Badillo 16th (1:03.06) in the 100 backstroke.
The three-day invitational concludes Saturday, December 6 with preliminaries at 9 a.m.
