Thursday's Results
Rochester, Minn. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's swimming & diving team completed first day action at the Rochester Invitational Thursday night at the Rochester-Olmstead County Recreation Center Natatorium.
The Eagles are in third-place with 429.0 points. St. Cloud State University (Minn.) leads the nine-team invitational with 615.0 points.
UWL had four of the top-seven finishers in the three-meter diving competition as
Joanne Banaszak placed second (398.90 points),
Emma Lieb third (388.85),
Madison DeBernardo fourth (380.25) and
Hannah Martini seventh (374.30).
In individual swimming events,
Libby Cleveland placed fourth (24.11) in the 50 freestyle with
Greta Wiskus fifth (24.27),
Ellie Brown eighth (24.52) and
Hannah Wadholm 14th (24.64).
Shefali Ramakrishnan was sixth (58.70) in the 100 butterfly.
The Eagles'
Zoey Rank finished 10th (2:13.29),
Ava Pulvermacher 14th (2:15.24) and
Ella Stadler 16th (2:17.12) in the 200 I.M. with
McKenna Biegler placing 16th (5:34.44) in the 500 freestyle.
UWL's 200 medley relay of Ramakrishnan, Rank, Wiskus and Cleveland finished fifth (1:46.78) while Pulvermacher,
Ava Newman,
Paige Rundahl and Biegler were 10th (8:06.32) in the 800 freestyle relay.
