Northfield, Minn.- The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse volleyball team split a pair of non-conference matches at the St. Olaf College (Minn.) Triangular Saturday afternoon.

UW-La Crosse 3, Nebraska Wesleyan Univeristy 1 (25-22, 25-22, 19-25, 25-14)
- Leading 10-9, UWL used an 8-3 run to build an 18-12 cushion in the first set. Nebraska Wesleyan scored three straight points to cut their deficit to 18-15 before UWL scored four of the next five points to lead 22-16. Nebraska Wesleyan pulled within 23-22, but UWL scored the final two points on back-to-back hitting errors by the Prairie Wolfs to win set one 25-22.
- Trailing 9-8 to in the second set, UWL used a small 6-2Â run to take a 14-11 lead. After the Prairie Wolfs tied it at 14-14, UWL forced a hitting error and got a kill from Kayla Sexton to take a 16-14 lead. Nebraska Wesleyan would retake the lead at 19-18 by outscoring UWL 5-2. Kills by Grace Turlais and Sydney Marx would give UWL the lead back as they led 21-19. A UWL service error would make it 21-20 but UWL got a kill from Sexton and a hitting error by Nebraska Wesleyan to lead 23-20. Maddy Wilson would record the final kill to give the Eagles a 25-22 win in set three.Â
- After Nebraska Wesleyan scored the first three points of the third set, UWL scored seven of the next nine points to lead 7-5. After a Kottke kill would tie the set at 10-10, Nebraska Wesleyan went on a 7-1 run to lead 17-11. The Eagles would score five straight points to pull within 19-18 but that would be as close as they would get as the Prairie Wolfs scored six of the final seven points to win the third set 25-19.
- With the score tied 7-7, UWL went on a 7-2 run to lead 14-9 in the fourth set. Nebraska Wesleyan would cut their deficit to 14-11 but UWL would close the fourth set on a 11-3 run to win 25-14.Â

- Sexton finished with a match high 15 kills while recording a double-double as she added 10 digs.
- Wilson and Turlais each added nine kills while Kottke added eight kills
- UWL had five players finish in double digits in digs led by Taylor Larson with 15 while Megan Jasperson added, 14, Kailyn Kurth had 13 and Megan Lund finished with 12.
- Lund had a team high 21 assists while Kurth added 15 and finished with a team high three service aces.Â
St. Olaf College (Minn.) 3, UW-La Crosse 1 (25-15, 25-13, 18-25, 25-21)
- With the first set tied 3-3, St. Olaf went on a 9-1 run to lead 12-4. UWL scored four straight points to pull with in 14-10 but St. Olaf quickly extended their lead to 22-11 with an 8-1 run. UWL would not get any closer than nine (23-14) as St. Olaf took the first set 25-15.
- After UWL went on a 4-1 run to cut their deficit to 11-8, St. Olaf scored four straight points to take a 15-8 lead in the second set. St-Olaf then finished the second set with a 10-5 run to win the second set 25-13.Â
- A 4-0 run would give St. Olaf an early 9-6 lead in the third set before UWL scored four straight to tie it at 10-10. St. Olaf would break the tie with a 6-1 run but UWL responded with a 12-0 run of their own to lead 23-16. The two teams would trade the next four points as the Eagles won the third set 25-18.Â
- St. Olaf would open the fourth set with an 11-3 run before the Eagles slowly chipped away at their deficit as they pulled with in 20-16. After a kill by St. Olaf, UWL got back-to-back points to trail 21-18.  Back-to-back kills by Mesha Krause would give St. Olaf a 23-18 lead. Two kills by Sexton would pull the Eagles within 24-21 but that would be all for UWL as St. Olaf won the fourth set 25-21.Â
FROM THE BOX SCORE
- Sexton led the Eagles with 13 kills while Nommensen finished with seven.
- Lund led the Eagles with 18 assists and 20 digs while Kailyn Kurth finished with nine assists.
- Larson added 16 digs while Sexton finished with nine.Â
