Whitewater, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's swimming & diving team earned a 207.5-97.5 dual victory at UW-Whitewater Saturday afternoon. The Eagles improve to 4-1 overall and 3-1 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC).
The divers competed at the Dodd Road Invitational at Carleton College (Minn.) on Saturday. The Eagles'
Madeline Weber won the three-meter title (407.15 points) with
Joanne Banaszak second (382.85) and
Hannah Martini third (376.35).
Laci Gottschalk was third (387.35) in the one-meter. Weber fell just short for the NCAA Division III Qualifying standard of 410.00 points in the three-meter.
At UW-Whitewater, UWL won 14 events, including both relays.

Kylee Sommer,
Lindsey Evenson,
Brooke Laube and Cleveland won the 200 freestyle relay (1:40.84).
Autumn Seebach won three individual titles, capturing the 100 backstroke (1:00.46), 100 butterfly (1:01.73) and 200 breaststroke (2:38.94). Schoenbrodt won two events, including the 200 (2:01.16) and 500 (5:28.93) freestyle.
Cleveland captured the 50 freestyle (25.46), Evenson the 100 freestyle (54.83) and
Amelia Olson the 1,000 freestyle (11:16.33). Hahlen won the 200 backstroke (2:10.46) and
Paige Rundahl the 200 I.M. (2:20.49) while Laube won the 100 breaststroke (1:11.11) and
Maddy Albert-Nelson the 200 butterfly (2:18.67).
Brooke Presny placed second (26.38) and Olson third (26.40) in the 50 freestyle with Reilly Eicynk second (56.71) in the 100 freestyle. Aly Wallander placed second (2:04.78) and Sommer third (2:04.86) in the 200 freestyle while
Ella Eck was third (5:46.31) in the 500 freestyle.
Sofia Alf finished second (11:53.39) and
Audrey Banske third (11:55.82) in the 1,000 freestyle.
UWL's Mikayla Knafla placed second (1:02.03) and Rundahl tied for third (1:03.65) in the 100 backstroke with
JonaLee Feller second (2:16.68) in the 200 backstroke. Steien was second (1:12.24) in the 100 breaststroke and
Claire Vandenhouten third (2:29.62) in the 200 butterfly. Vandenhouten was also third (2:57.65) in the 200 breaststroke. Evenson finished second (1:01.77) in the 100 butterfly with
Riley Siegle second (2:24.13) and
Sofia Badillo third (2:25.67) in the 200 I.M.
UWL returns to action Friday, February 9 at the University of Minnesota First Chance Meet.
