Whitewater, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse men's swimming & diving team earned a 155-137 dual victory at UW-Whitewater Saturday afternoon. The Eagles improve to 3-2 overall and 2-2 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC).

Tony McNiff competed at the Dodd Road Diving Invitational at Carleton College (Minn.) on Saturday. McNiff met NCAA Division III Qualifying standards in both events, winning the three-meter (447.15 points) title and placing second in the one-meter competition (426.35 points).

At UW-Whitewater, UWL won nine events.
Jonah Elfers and
Jacob Ketterling both won a pair of titles. Elfers won the 100 backstroke (53.49) and 100 butterfly (52.64) while Ketterling took the 200 backstroke (2:02.00) and 200 I.M. (1:59.81). Ketterling was also second (1:50.27) in the 200 freestyle.
Blake Nelson won the 50 freestyle (22.00),
Will Quackenbush the 100 breaststroke (1:01.34),
Ben Collins the 200 breaststroke (2:13.82) and
Caleb Jondle the 200 butterfly (2:02.07).
Aanav Patel and
Luke Zocher tied for first (360.15) in the three-meter diving competition while Patel placed second (351.83) and Zocher third (298.95) in the one-meter.
Jacob Ketterling
Other top-three finishes included
Sebiyam Werdin-Kennicott second (10:36.38) and Tyler Hartmand third (10:57.88) in the 1,000 freestyle while Quackenbush was third (48.21) in the 100 freestyle.
Connor Cleveland placed second (22.28) and
Jesse Hammes third (22.26) in the 50 freestyle while Cleveland also placed third (5:14.17) in the 500 freestyle.
Davin Evans finished third (1:02.06) in the 100 breaststroke while
Jonathan Pella was third (2:17.51) in the 200 breaststroke. Hartmann placed third (53.79) in the 100 butterfly and Jake Jensen third (2:10.24) in the 200 backstroke.
UWL returns to action Friday, February 9 at the University of Minnesota First Chance Meet.
