Box Score La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse soccer team rallied for a 2-2 tie with Carleton College (Minn.) Sunday afternoon at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex. The Eagles are now 10-3-2 on the season while the Knights are 12-1-4. Both teams are receiving votes on this week's United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division III Top-25 Poll. Carleton (Minn.) is ranked second and UWL third in the Region IX.
In the first meeting between the teams since 2019, Carleton (Minn.) scored twice in the first 11:17 of the game. Dylan Baker scored unassisted at 3:26 to give the Knights a 1-0 lead. Lauren Caldwell's goal at 11:17 off a Baker assist extended the lead to 2-0.
Emily Pikarski scored the game-tying goal.
UWL cut the lead to 2-1 at 40:32 as
Amaya Thesing scored unassisted. Carleton (Minn.) maintained its, 2-1, lead at halftime.
UWL finished with 15 shots in the first half while Carleton (Minn.) had four. The Eagles had all four first half corner kicks.
The score remained, 2-1, until the final minute of the game until UWL's
Emily Pikarski tied the game at 2-2 at 89:36.
Sophie Pope and
Alexis McMahon recorded assists.
UWL totaled 24 shots, including seven on goal.
Ellie Behnke and
Jillian Sawadski led the Eagles with four shots while Pope had a team-high two shots on goal. UWL recorded six corner kicks in the second half to finish with 10.
Carleton (Minn.) recorded five shots with four on goal. Baker had two shots, both on goal. The Knights were held without a corner kick.

Sophia Anger registered two saves for UWL while Avery Trapp had five for Carleton (Minn.).
