Brown Deer, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse men's swimming & diving team finished third at the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Championships (presented by Culver's) Saturday night at the Walter Schroeder Aquatic Center.
The Eagles totaled 686.0 team points while UW-Stevens Point won the conference title with 907.0. UW-Eau Claire was second with 853.0. UW-Whitewater placed fourth (432.0) and UW-Oshkosh fifth (228.0).

Connor Cleveland,
Nicholas Litterer and
Will Quackenbush took the 400 freestyle relay (3:02.70) on Saturday. It is the Eagles' first league crown in the event since 2019.
In individual event finals on Saturday, Quackenbush was second (45.71) in the 100 freestyle while Litterer placed fifth (46.09) and Nelson seventh (47.03). Cleveland was 10th (47.01),
Jackson Plautz 14th (48.34),
Jonah Elfers 15th (48.38) and
Mickey Keating 16th (49.09).

Mitchell Johnson was third (2:07.73) and
Jonathan Pella fifth (2:09.98) in the 200 breaststroke while
Andrew Perrin finished third (16:23.42),
Sebiyam Werdin-Kennicott ninth (17:07.50) and Pella 14th (18:57.84) in the 1,650 freestyle.
Zach Vinson finished fourth (1:53.31) and
Caleb Jondle sixth (1:57.13) in the 200 butterfly.
Jacob Jensen was 10th (1:59.18),
Brevin Kruse 13th (2:00.53) and
Jesse Hammes 14th (2:03.90) in the 200 backstroke.
UWL had four of the top-eight finishers in the three-meter diving competition on Saturday as
Tony McNiff placed third (478.25 points),
Vance Winter sixth (447.50),
Tyler Herder seventh (399.05) and
Evan Zimdars eighth (381.20).
Joey Marchiando was 12th (311.55).
UWL returns to action Friday, February 24 at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Central Diving Regional in Chicago, Illinois.
