Whitewater, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's tennis team placed sixth at the UW-Whitewater Warhawk Invitational Saturday afternoon. The Eagles finished with 16.0 team points while UW-Whitewater won the team title with 48.0 points. A total of seven teams competed.

Kate Townsend won the consolation final in the No. 2 doubles draw. The duo went 2-1, defeating Lauren Oda/Natasha Gauerke of Augustana College (Ill.) in the consolation final.

Katie Kearney were 0-3 at No. 1 doubles.
In singles,
Kellie Hierl (No. 1),

Anabela Gainizamanov (No. 3) each went 1-2, losing the consolation final.
