La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse men's basketball team, ranked seventh on this week's D3hoops.com Top-25 Poll, fell 76-66 to UW-Stout Wednesday night in Mitchell Hall in both team's regular-season finale. The Eagles drop to 19-5 overall and 9-5 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) while the Blue Devils improve to 16-8 overall and 7-6 in the conference.

The first half featured eight ties as neither team led by more than six points. The Blue Devils took a 15-11 lead on Jackson Noll's three-pointer with 13:09 remaining in the first half, but the Eagles scored the game's next seven points on back-to-back layups from
Austin Westra and
Craig Steele to tie the game and Steele's three-pointer with 10:59 left to give UWL an 18-15 advantage.
Torin Hannah had 12 points and career-high 11 rebounds.
Dylan Bunders' hook shot for UWL cut the lead to 21-20 with 7:10 left when UW-Stout went on a 6-1 run to lead 27-21 on a Jon Ciriacks' layup with 4:15 remaining. UWL responded with a 8-0 run of its own to take a 29-27 lead on a
Torin Hannah three-pointer with 2:16 left. The Blue Devils took a 34-33 halftime lead on a Brody Fox free throw with :06 left.
Westra's jumper with 15:34 left gave UWL a 42-41 lead, but UW-Stout went on a 10-0 run to take a 51-42 lead. Ciriacks had five points in the run, including a three-pointer with 11:36 remaining to give the Blue Devils' their nine point lead. UW-Stout led, 56-49, when UWL used a 14-5 run to take a 63-61 advantage with 3:27 remaining on Anderson's layup.
Lovell Williams' jumper with 3:01 left tied the game for UW-Stout and Armani Tinsley's layup with 2:17 remaining gave the Blue Devils a 65-63 lead.
Wyatt Cook hit one-of-two at the line for UWL with 2:04 left to make it 65-64, but UW-Stout made eight straight free throws to take a 73-66 lead.
UWL shot 37.9% from the field, including 31.8% (seven-of-22) from three-point range, and 50.0% (nine-of-18) at the free throw line. Westra and Hannah led the Eagles with 12 points each off the bench while Steele and
Henry Noone each finished with 11. Hannah recorded his first career double-double, finishing with a career-high 11 rebounds.
Craig Steele finished with 11 points off the bench.
Cook finished with nine points, four rebounds and three assists while Suchomel had five points, three assists, three steals and two rebounds. Bunders had two points, getting his first start of the season.
UW-Stout shot 49.1% from the field, including 30.4% (seven-of-23) from three-point range, and 65.0% (13-of-20) at the line. Tinsley led the Blue Devils with 24 points while Ciriacks finished with 16 points and game-high 14 rebounds.
UWL returns to action in the WIAC Tournament (presented by Culver's). The tournament bracket will be announced Thursday, February 17.
