La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's tennis team fell 6-3 to UW-Eau Claire Tuesday afternoon at Green Island Tennis Park. The Eagles drop to 3-2 overall and 2-2 in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) while the Blugolds improve to 4-1 overall and 4-1 in the conference. 

UWL won three of the six singles matches Tuesday. Katie Kearney defeated Morgan Nelson at No. 3 singles (6-2, 6-3) while Kate Townsend beat Morgan Dekan at No. (6-4, 6-4). The Eagles' Emma Heinert defeated Sydney Presler at No. 6 singles (6-4, 5-7, 10-5).
