Box Score Waverly, Iowa - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse soccer team earned a 1-0 win at 13th-ranked Wartburg College (Iowa) Tuesday night at Salzwedel Field. The Eagles improve to 5-1-1 on the season with their third straight shutout victory while the Knights drop to 6-1-1.
Wartburg (Iowa) is ranked 13th in this week's National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III in the United Soccer Coaches. The Knights are also ranked first in Region IX while the Eagles are ranked fourth.

The game was scoreless in the first half with each team recording one shot on goal. UWL had two shots and one corner kick in the first 45 minutes. Wartburg (Iowa) had four shots and four corner kicks in the first half.
UWL scored the only goal of the game on a Wartburg (Iowa) own goal at 55:04.
The Eagles totaled eight shots in the game with six on goal.

Wartburg (Iowa) recorded 11 shots, but only one on goal. Katie Berglund, Sarah Campbell, Kate Luers and Emily Fontana each had two shots in the game with Berglund recording the Knights' lone shot on goal.
Quinn Shannon recorded the shutout for UWL, finishing with one save. Marissa Lopez recorded six saves for Wartburg (Iowa).
UWL returns to action Saturday, September 24 hosting The College of St. Scholastica (Minn.) at noon at Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex.
