River Falls, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's tennis team opened its 2020-21 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) season with a 9-0 win at UW-River Falls Friday afternoon. The Eagles, winners of four straight, improve to 4-1 overall and 1-0 in the WIAC while the Falcons drop to 0-4 overall and 0-1 in the conference.

UWL's Kimberly Steinert/Kellie Hierl (No. 1), Hannah Riegle/Kaitlyn Kalinka (No. 2) and Lauren Witt/Morgan Graf (No. 3) swept the doubles matches for the Eagles. 

In singles play, UWL lost only seven games in the six matches. Steinert (No. 1), Hierl (No. 2), Riegle (No. 3), Witt (No. 4), Graf (No. 5) and Susi Hu (No. 6) picked up the victories.
