Whitewater, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's swimming & diving team earned a 189-89 dual victory at UW-Whitewater Saturday.
Ellen Bie,
Lauren Steien,
Aubrey Lonergan and
Autumn Seebach each won a pair of individual events for UWL. Bie took the 500 (5:40.85) and 1,000 (11:35.92) freestyle while Steien captured the 200 butterfly (2:21.45) and 200 breaststroke (2:36.02). Lonergan won the 50 (26.66) and 200 (2:03.55) freestyle while Seebach captured the 100 butterfly (1:04.21) and 200 I.M. (2:18.77). Steien was also third in the 200 I.M. (2:21.55).
Jordy Hahlen captured the 200 backstroke (2:13.32) and
Maddy Albert-Nelson the 100 backstroke (1:02.28).
Erika Hysalliu and
Laci Gottschalk swept the one and three-meter diving competition on Saturday with Hysalliu winning the one-meter (232.50 points) and Gottschalk the three-meter (179.17).
The Eagles' had three top-three finishes on Saturday, placing second in the 200 freestyle (2:04.08) and 200 I.M. (2:20.68) and third in the 200 backstroke (2:18.02).
Sydney Guenther finished second in the 1,000 freestyle (11:39.12) and third in the 200 butterfly (2:31.20).
Amelia Olson finished second in the 500 freestyle (5:42.89) and third in the 100 backstroke (1:04.51).
Raquel Salinas was second in the 100 breaststroke (1:12.86) with
Molly Banks second in the 100 freestyle (58.13) and
Lindsey Evenson second in the 50 freestyle (26.93).
Lexi Burgos finished third in the 100 freestyle (58.52) and
Lexi Ashe was third in the 500 freestyle (5:45.68).
The Eagles'
Kylee Sommer, Olson, Lonergan and Burgos captured the 400 freestyle relay (3:49.80) while
Eva Beier,
Abi Schauske,
Kathleen Casella and Salinas finished third in the 400 medley relay (4:27.66).
UWL returns to action Friday, December 3 at the Rochester (Minn.) Invitational.
