La Crosse, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's swimming & diving team earned a 127-76 dual victory over University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh Saturday afternoon in Richard L. Pein Natatorium. The Eagles won 10 of the 13 events.
UWL's Amanda Wciorka, Maria Vaudreuil, Sarina Le and Jaime Kloehn finished first in the 200 medley relay (1:56.67) while Kaylie Podvin, Victoria Campbell, Lilly Larsen and Molly Banks took first in the 200 freestyle relay (1:42.88)Â
The Eagles also won eight individual titles on Saturday. Vaudreuil captured in the 200 breaststroke (2:31.14), Samantha Rod the 500 freestyle (5:42.78) and Larsen the 200 backstroke (2:15.23). Kaylie Svacina took first in the 200 I.M. (2:18.93) where Vaudreuil placed second (2:22.42).
Emily Boettger won the 50 freestyle (25.29) while Campbell was second (26.10). In the 1,000 freestyle, Ellen Bie earned the win (11:35.05) for UWL while Ellen Costic placed second (11:43.58).
UWL had top-three finishers in the 100 freestyle, 200 freestyle, and 200 butterfly. Boettger placed second (54.75) in the 100 freestyle and Campbell third (55.34). Le was second (2:22.98) and Kalli Behling third (2:26.64) in the 200 butterfly. The Eagles' Ellie Szczupakiewicz finished second (2:01.37) in the 200 freestyle and Behling was third (2:03.72)
UWL's Sydney Vian swept the one (252.50 points) and three-meter (244.90) diving competitions.
