Lake Geneva, Wis. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse women's tennis team fell 5-1 to UW-Eau Claire in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) Automatic Qualifying Tournament at the Lake Geneva Tennis Center. The Eagles fall to 15-5 on the season while the Blugolds improve to 15-4 and advance to face UW-Whitewater in the championship match. The winner of the WIAC Tournament earns the league's automatic bid to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Championships.
UW-Eau Claire swept the three doubles matches before winning two singles matches. The match was played to decision. UWL's
Maura Andersen earned the win at No. 4 singles (6-3, 6-1) over Lindsey Henderson.
