Box Score St. Peter, Minn. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse soccer team fell 1-0 at Gustavus Adolphus College (Minn.) Saturday afternoon at Gustie Field. The Eagles drop to 1-1 on the season while the Gusties improve to 2-0. UWL now leads the all-time series, 5-2-1, with Gustavus Adolphus (Minn.).
Chase Miller scored the game's only goal unassisted at 86:41.
UWL outshot Gustavus Adolphus (Minn.), 21-7, in the game. The Eagles finished with nine shots on goal, including three from
Natalie Herzog and two from
Alex Cording.
The Eagles finished with eight corner kicks while the Gusties totaled four. Both squads had 11 fouls.
Kennedy Brault recorded four saves for UWL while Ashley Becker finished with nine for Gustavus Adolphus (Minn.) to record the shutout.
UWL returns to action Friday, September 9 hosting St. Catherine University (Minn.) at 3 p.m. in the Eagles' home opener.
