Box Score Rock Island, Ill. - The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse soccer team earned 1-0 victory at 21st-ranked Augustana College (Ill.) Saturday afternoon at Thorson-Lucken Stadium. The Eagles improve to 4-1 on the season while the Vikings drop to 5-1 on the year.
Augustana (Ill.) entered the game ranked 21st in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) National Poll and third in the NSCAA Central Region. UWL is ranked seventh in the NSCAA North Region.
The Eagles earned their first-ever win over the Vikings after losing the first three games in the all-time series.
UWL recorded its third straight 1-0 win with Saturday's victory after defeating Milwaukee School of Engineering (Wis.) September 11 and The College of St. Scholastica (Minn.) September 15. The Eagles have allowed two goals in five games.
After a scoreless first half, UWL got on the board at 64:38 with
Alex Cording scoring her second goal of the season.
Mary Mansker and
Haley Hartkemeyer recorded assists on the goal.
The Eagles outshot the Vikings, 14-6, including 6-2 in the first half and 8-4 in the second. Both teams finished with four shots on goal.

Kourtni Alcock and
Ashley Osmek each had two shots for UWL with Osmek recording both on goal.
Kennedy Brault earned her third straight shutout and ninth of her career with four saves Saturday. Bailey Bradford finished with three saves for Augustana (Ill.).
UWL returns to action Wednesday, September 21 hosting Luther College (Iowa) at 7 p.m.
